Speech Forces welcomes you to the annual gathering where brilliant speakers, chronic overthinkers, and people who claim they “don’t prep, they just vibe” subject themselves to timed speeches, judges with poker faces, and opponents who swear they “totally understand the model,” yet cannot explain it without summoning the ghost of John Rawls.

The city is ready for you. The weather has agreed to behave, the food will test your courage, and the judges will test your faith. Teams have spent weeks preparing cases that will crumble the moment POI pressure hits. Speakers have rehearsed metaphors that feel deep at 2 a.m. and suspicious at 9 a.m. Everyone else is here for vibes and the hope that the tab makes sense.

As the tournament begins, carry your confidence, your humor, and your ability to improvise when your argument evaporates under one pointed question. Speak boldly, listen carefully, and pretend you understand what “nuanced extension” means when your brain goes quiet.
